My mom had a Kenmore for 18 years before she replaced it. She got a new Kenmore & it’s been running for 15 years.
I’ve blown up every brand you have listed except a Dyson (never owned one) & my Kirby.
I vaccuum my house everyday…I’m very hard on them.
Whatever you buy, buy it at Sam’s. I blew one of mine up in about 14 months. They took it back & gave me my $ back.

I love my $70 Hoover Widepath Tempo. It sucks so hard it’s practically self-propelled.

Not a Hoover or Eureka. When You find a good one let me know. I have had the worse luck with these things.

Dyson all the way! Maybe you could pick one up at Linens-n-Things since they are going out of business!

We have a Dyson and LOVE IT. It’s at least six or seven years old and still works beautifully.

Michelle! Mom got me an Oreck for my birthday and I LOVE IT! It’s really light and smells really good – plus they are guaranteed forever and they give you a free tune-up every year!

Just bought a Dyson Animal at Costco last week. So far, I love it…suction is great and has a telescopic wand to suck the spiders off our tall ceilings. 🙂

My vote is for my Oreck…it is great and only 8 lbs. so it doesn’t hurt your back when pushing it around….and it lasts 4 ever…

Justin and I got a animal dyson with the ball (oooo) right before we moved. We LOVE it! Justin even vacuums now because it’s “cool”. If that doesn’t sell it…you would be surprised at the suction compared to a normal vacuum. We were disgusted by what wasn’t being sucked up with our other vacuum (we did a test). It’s expensive but get it refurbed…and it will last forever. You can borrow ours sometime if you want.

I have a Rainbow and love it. Can get refurbished off E-bay for a decent price. Keeps the dust down as uses water instead of a bag.

Definitely an Oreck. I’ve been wanting one for so long. When we (Tom) replaced our vacuum last year, he bought a bagless Hoover Mach5. It’s a guys vac! Dirt gets clogged up in the top, and it’s difficult to empty. Plus there’s this secret filter to clean. The vac turns off when it needs to be cleaned to avoid overheating. Then you have to rinse this really nasty thing in the sink until the water runs clear. The filter then needs to dry for 24 hours before you can use the vacuum. I am so praying for this vacuum to break!! For every day vacuuming, I picked up a swivel sweeper and absolutely LOVE it!!!!!

Hey you, I have the animal Dyson. LOVE,LOVE,LOVE IT. My parents also have a dyson and mom just bought a new one because they now have a black lab and cream carpet. It is AMAZING how well the suction is. My dad vaccumes more then anyone else. He should be the Dyson spokes person.

Dyson!!! I have a Bissell that my fam bought me. All of theirs don’t work anymore and they have all bought different dyson versions and love them- animal, allergy, etc. My asthma is great in their homes.

Kirby and Oreck are my favorites.
Kirby also has a great attachment for hardwood floors. We used a Kirby when we were in Cincinnati.

Dyson Animal with the ball. No joke – I don’t even mind to vacuum with it. I’m a firm believer that they should come as standard equipment any time you bring a pet into your home.

Wow! Lots o-opinion for a sweeper! Have you looked at the consumer reports? We got a new sweeper just over a year ago, and I did some research (hate buyers remorse). The one we have isn’t onthe market any more (got a good deal, good sweeper), but we decided against the Dyson. Opinion was it wasn’t worth the $500 or whatever – other brands did as good of a job for a much friendlier price tag.
    That’s all I remember about that 🙂

I have a vacuum that has been very reliable for over 46 years. It’s called a Cheryl. Cheryl has been very reliable and remains in good working order. Unfortunately she is a one of a kind model but I will send her over to your house in an emergency.

the only complaint that my wife has about our kirby is that it’s heavy. she just has to ask me to move it from downstairs to upstairs for her. but the attachments we got with it for hardwood and carpet shampooing are great.

Kirby…I have two Kirbys and LOVE them! I clean for a living and wouldn’t want to use anything else. I have used the dyson (3 different ones) I do not like them. I just don’t think they work as well as they are advertised to. Just my opinion.
