Favor

This might sound totally cheesy, so if I offend you, I apologize.  I am starting another blog, made up of the best things I have written.  I write a lot of useless drivel, I know, so I sort of want to separate the useless funny day to day stuff from stuff that might actually be helpful to you or someone else some day.  I’m not even sure if I’m going to make the site public for awhile, just gathering ideas for now.

Here’s what I’m asking:  I’d love it if you could let me know what posts have been most helpful to you.  I’ve been blogging for almost 3 years now, so its hard for me to sort through it all in my head.

If there is something that stood out to you, you can leave me a comment about it, or just email me at michelledwegner (@) att (dot) net.  No parenthesis or spaces, of course.  Those meanie spammers are onto me.

I can’t tell you how much I appreciate the favor.  Thanks!

    Michelle,
Your posts are HARDLY drivel. There is much to be learned from reading about just everyday life from another mom. It can make other moms think that they’re not in this whole mom-boat alone!!! I think that if you took away your fun, more light-hearted posts, we’d lose you. And, that’s the reason that many of us read… because we care about you and want to know YOU! Don’t change a thing. (and if you REALLY want to see drivel, you know where to go. Hee hee!)

Well.. I haven’t been aware of your blog for a long time so I haven’t read much from previous years, but I was scanning some more recent entries and this one touched my heart: http://michellewegner.typepad.com/my_weblog/2009/04/life-from-death.html
    and this one: http://michellewegner.typepad.com/my_weblog/2009/09/bucket-filling.html
I don’t really think your entries are useless drivel, though… they’re all interesting, enjoyable, thought-provoking, or touching in their own right. You shouldn’t be so critical of yourself. 🙂 Take care.

I think I understand your goal here, but honestly what I value most IS the “day to day drivel” (’cause it’s not, in my opinion). Normal life, challenges and joys, with God.

    Michelle,
I too disagree of the “useless drivel” characterization. Life is a journey, not a destination. So…they things that happen along the way matter (even when they don’t seem important). How we live, how we treat others, how we grow, etc., all matters. I think an interesting aspect of some blogs (no all) is you get a snapshot into someone else’s journey. I think this helps us feel more connected and when see commonality – it helps us feel more “normal” about our experiences. Just something to think about. Anyway, my memory is usually short…but I will give some thought to the more memorable ones… Thanks for sharing your journey with us.
    Dan
