A Posing Question

How many times do you re-introduce yourself to someone before it becomes awkward?  Even better, what if the person is not embarrassed after the 12th or 13th time  you have re-introduced yourself?  What does it say about that person?  What does it say about you?

I’d love some input on this one.

This has happened to me two times this week.  The first occurrence was the worst because the person who re-forgot me is a close personal friend of my husband. (not to mention he is employed by the same orgainzation as my husband) Hilarious!  The second was a Mom I have run into about 20 times at the park, and our kids have been in the same class together for 3 years.

Am I that un-noticeable?  Do I need to die my hair pink permanently?  I am considering it.

I think you should make a fancy nametag and wear it whenever you are in public.

I’ve tried the pink hair. It just scares people. I started saying “My name is Mandy, rhymes with candy.” Now, very few forget.

It’s been a long since I’ve seen you but I wouldn’t forget you name or your smile Milena.

I am sure your dad remembers you well.

As someone who cannot remember names for the life of me, I think a couple dozen introductions is definitely the limit. Now, if everyone went by their ssn I would stand a better chance. I can remember numbers/birthdates forever…names…not so much. I think dying your hair pink would just make you “the girl with pink hair.” A light-up shirt with the word Michelle blinking across it would probably do it though.
