Michelle,

Love the stories of missional living. That is so awesome about the young man who found Jesus at your dinner table. We have a similar story from this week. I have been coaching football for 5 years now and all of the guys on our team know that they can come to our house any time they want. Well two young men are at our house almost every weekend. They know we pray together all the time and know we go to church on the weekend. Over the past year one of the young men has started attending youth with Anthony on Sunday nights and asking if he could attend church with us on Sunday morning also. Last weekend on the journey home from youth Anthony asked him if he was ready to seal the deal about Jesus and he said yes so Anthony and his youth leader prayed with him. Yeah God. 5 years of just living and loving like Jesus. 5 years of just coaching because that is what Jesus would do. And Sunday we were able to witness a young man give his life to Jesus because he saw a difference in what he calls his second family. We are blessed to live on mission with Jesus.

Oh yes, there is such a thing. There are a couple of books about them. Here's one (on Amazon) http://www.amazon.com/Quilts-American-Quilt-Trail-Movement/dp/0804011389/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1335661154&sr=8-1 There may be some in Elkhart County along the Heritage Trail. Or the Quilt Garden Trail, I know there are a few on buildings but they may just be local businesses, not sure about barns. We saw quite a few barns with Quilt Paintings when we were in Iowa a few years ago. I WISH I had stopped and taken pictures of all of them.

I'm waiting to see your Quilt Barn series. You know, barns with quilt blocks painted on the sides. Those are my favorites.

Hi Michelle,

My name is Sarah Chambers, and I read about your blog and recent book in the Moody Alumni News. I graduated from Moody in 2006. I am involved with the International Orality Network (ION), and after reading about what you're involved with, thought this might be a group you would be interested in learning more about.

ION is all about using stories to reach people who don't read and discipling them. We have an annual conference each year in Sept. I'm sure you and your husband are extremely busy, but I wanted to make you aware of the opportunity.

If you would like to be a speaker or share your method of church planting with other like-minded people from around the world please let me know as I'm on the conference planning team.

You're welcome to email me or visit the website directly. www.oralbible.org

Thanks for your time,
Sarah

Very well put Michelle. The beautiful weather that God has blessed us with has certainly revived our spirits. I too do not recall having this in March before. Love the scripture also. We need to remember to praise Him no matter what. Love seeing the world through your eyes.

My story started last August. I met w/a personal trainer & was ready to start working w/her. Then my husband lost his job, so I had to put it off. I saw an ad in the paper for a local gym last week & made an appt to meet w/someone (not the same place as last August).
At my appt, I kept thinking the trainer looked familiar. I came home & checked my old email from Aug. I was right, it was the same person. She was now working for a different gym b/c she was struggling to get her own personal training business off the ground.
Long story longer...I emailed her & told her about our meeting in August. Now she is my personal trainer at her business. Best part is she goes to GCC & we know many of the same people.
It is definitely a "God at Work" story, not just a coincidence our paths have crossed again.
