When I look around me during this season and see yellows that look more real than pretend, reds that look like they’re glowing, and oranges radiant and firey in the autumn sunshine, the words from Elizabeth Barret Browning’s poem go round and round in my mind. Just thought I’d share it with you because I love it so much.
“Earth’s crammed with heaven,
And every common bush afire with God,
But only he who sees takes off his shoes;
The rest sit round and pluck blackberries.”
― Elizabeth Barrett Browning
