We are having fun exploring London. Last night we took a stroll down by Big Ben and the Ferris Wheel, saw lots of interesting things and people. We ate at an Italian cafe, then headed home to bed. The girls had a hard time sleeping because of the time difference. Isabelle woke me up probably 15 times. One of the times she said Maddie’s eyes looked creepy, another time she brought me fruit snacks, another time she bonked her head on the wall, another time, she was crying, another time she was playing with her dolls and toys in the bathroom, another time, she woke me up to show me the tattoos she had put on her arm. Needless to say, it was a looong night. Hopefully tonight will be better.
We tried to wear the girls out today by walking around the British Museum. There were some amazing artifacts, statues, etc. there. One of the rooms held a real Temple entrance from ancient Turkey. Belle came over to me and said, “No wonder it is stinky in here. That lady over there said the whole thing is made of Turkey!” The naked statues were also a great lesson in male anatomy for the girls. Lets just say they said some pretty funny things and asked some very interesting questions…
We also got to ride the tube, the London underground Subway. It’s been quite a great experience for all of us. We’re doing a double decker bus tour tomorrow.
Tuesday we leave for India. Can’t wait!
